A couple days ago, I FINALLY finished the 5th book in the "Outlander" series called "The Fiery Cross". It is about 1400 pages and it took me almost 3 months to finish. Most of her books are around 850 pages but this one was the longest and, I'm sorry to say, the most uninteresting. It was 1400 pages of nothing. I don't even think I could tell you what it was about. The main story line for all the books is one day, while picking flowers, Claire steps into a circle of stones in Scotland and finds herself transported to another time. She finally discovers she's in the year 1743 where she, at first, is reluctantly entwined with James Fraser, a young Scots warrior, who marries her to save her life. But, she's also left her husband back in 1945 who has no idea what happened to her.
I absolutely LOVED the books 1 - 4. She's a wonderful writer and does a great job at bringing the characters to life. I actually wanted to visit Scotland, after reading the first book, just to see if I could find Claire & Jamie. I will have to finish the last book and see if it was all worth it. I will recommend the series, but to those over 21. It did have some very passionate parts in it.

Sounds like a good series (if not necessarily a good book!). I might have to check it out!
