Kaman's 2 year pictures....
Last Friday, while the kids were at school, Kaman got all dressed up and we went to Fotogenix to have his picture taken. We brought all of his favorite toys, which made him smile the whole time. He is such a happy child - most of the time. He's been a real grump lately especially when I try and put him down for a nap. I know he's tired because of his constant yawning, but he just will not go to sleep. I'll put him in his crib and he'll throw everything out and scream for me. My other two kids gave up the nap thing when they were two. But, I'm just not ready for him to be done. I NEED my break. Anyway, here are the pictures that we ordered of Kaman. Enjoy!

soccer....again
I apologize before hand but I am going to talk about soccer again. When 3 out of the 5 people in this house love soccer that's about the majority of what gets talked about. So, here goes...
I played again today and won 4 - 1. Ashley played today as well and they won. Danielle played today and they tied 0 - 0. Danielle is really becoming quite the soccer player. I am so proud of her. She tells me that she wants to be a professional soccer player someday. And she wants to play for BYU, too. She's a very talented player, she definetly has a talent there. And I'm more then excited for her to love the sport I enjoy.
Here are some pictures of her playing today. She often times has a swarm of people trying to get the ball from her. I'm sure the other coaches tell their girls to watch out for that #23. Anyway, when she is our professional player we'll make sure to invite everyone to watch. ;)
Danielle is the one in the swarm of red players.

Ice blocking...
This Wednesday, the beehives were in charge of the YM/YW activity and we decided to do ice blocking. For those that don't know what that is, you get a block of ice, (from Macey's or any grocery store) put a towel on top of it, sit down, and slide down the hill. I tried it for the first time and wasn't too impressed. I didn't go very far before I fell off. But, the kids absolutely loved it. I think you have to weigh less then 100 lbs to actually enjoy it. Ashley and Danielle went with me because Duane had to work and they LOVED it. They grabbed their own block of ice, borrowed someones towel, and did their sliding the whole hour we were there. Good times!
my blog.....ehhh!
ok, for any one who is following this blog, don't expect anything spectacular from it. I am completely computer illiterate. I did figure out how to post pictures on my posts, but I have no idea how to put them where I want or describe what they are underneath the pictures. So, bear with me, and if you know how to do these things, or know any cool things to do with blogs, I would love to know.

Ashley's b-day party!
We had a great day today. It started off with my soccer game at 8:00am in Spanish Fork. We ended up only having 5 players so we lost 5 to 1. Then Ashley had a game at 9:00am followed by Danielle's soccer game at 11:30am. Then at 2:00pm we had Ashley's birthday party. She had so much fun with all of her friends and all of the attention she got from everyone. We started off with a race course. The first thing they did was a garbage bag race (they had to hop while standing in a garbage bag.) Then on to popping balloons, next was scoring a goal followed by chewing a piece of gum and then blowing a bubble. And the one who went down the slide first won. Our winner for the day was Jamison, 2nd place went to Aisha and 3rd was Ashley. After the course we hit a pinata and then played games out in the yard. After that we ate cake & ice cream and opened presents. It went very well and we all had a good time. It was great weather, too. I am very tired, though. I've been running all day & I'm exausted. Time to head to bed...

so sore....
I am sooooo sore! I can hardly walk. It's been 3 days since I worked my legs and I am still walking funny. I knew I'd be sore if I lifted too heavy, so I cut back, but I guess that didn't help.
I did work out 3 days this week. I was nursing a sick little boy on Thursday and Friday so I couldn't exercise those days. But, i do have a soccer game tonight, so that should count. That would equal 4 total days this week. Pretty good. I'm used to 5 or 6 so i'll work up to that.
This is our last indoor soccer game for the season and it's not a good weekend to play; labor day weekend. We should only have 5 or 6 players there so we are just hoping the other team is low on players as well. If we win tonight we will be 6 wins and only 2 loses for the season. Pretty dang good for our first time playing in this league. The season before we took first place in our league. We actually beat everyone pretty bad. The score was often 10 - 1, us winning. So Timp. indoor soccer moved us up a league. We were also sponsored this season by one of the players husband. It was a good season until my ankle got screwed up. Dang it! I scored almost 10 goals the season before and none this time. I wasn't much of a help.
Anyway, I'm hoping tonight I'll be able to move and keep from twisting my ankle again. There being no subs I'll have to hobble around the field in pain if anything happens.

School, landscaping, etc....
What to blog about....hmmmmm. Let's see. Life is good at the Howell home. We are just chuggin' along. School has started and I just went back to the gym today for the first time in quite a few months. It felt good and I'm excited to get things started, again. I've noticed my body slowing down especially while I play soccer. And i'm getting injured easier, too. My ankle stills hurts from re-twisting it a couple months ago. I can't point it all the way. I'm wondering if I did something permanent to it. And because it still hurts I haven't been performing as well in soccer because i'm afraid of hurting it again. Danielle played her first game on Saturday and they won 2 - 1. It was a pretty close game but they are showing some great potential. Danielle is very excited to finally be on a winning team. :) Ashley has her first game this Thursday and she's excited to finally be playing again, too.
For the past week I've been working on our front yard. Finally getting the landscaping close to being done. We had Heather's baby shower here on Saturday so I felt like I needed to get it finished before then. It looks really good. I want to put a couple more trees in the front. But, other then that I did a good job. I'll have to work on the back yard next spring.
Anyway, that's about it for now.
