I am thankful for....

For this post I wanted to get into the thanksgiving spirit and write some of the things I am thankful for. So here goes....

1. I am thankful for a loving and patient husband and for my 3 wonderful kids who give me joy everyday of my life.
2. I am thankful for my friends. Which if it weren't for Facebook.com I wouldn't know I had so many. :)
3. I am thankful for my home.
4. I am thankful for my health. I started working out about 10 years ago, after the birth of Danielle, and I'm lucky to be someone who loves to work out. I'm grateful to have taken that first step and discovered something I enjoy. Which in return makes me not only a happier person but a healthier one.
5. I am thankful for my church calling as 2nd counselor in the Young Women. I truly believe I was given that calling to help me. I kept saying to the counselor who called me that I did not think I was the right person for the position. But, I realize now that this calling was given to me to help strengthen my testimony.
6. I am thankful for the gospel. I am grateful to have that anchor to keep me grounded. Life has its ups and downs and I don't know where I would be without the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.
7. I am thankful for books. If ever I get in a rut and just need to escape, I'll pick up a good book and transport myself into a different world. Sometimes that's all I need to give me a boost is an hour or so to step out of this world and into someone elses.
8. I am thankful for my freedom. I couldn't imagine living in a different country where you didn't have the right to choose. Or the right to be who you wanted or to say what you wanted, especially for women.
9. I am thankful for Lasik eye surgery. I had the surgery done 7 years ago and it was money well spent. I went through my childhood and most of my adult life not experiencing some things because of having contacts/glasses. And to be able to have those freedoms is wonderful.
10. I am thankful for babysitters. I love my kids to death, but there are some nights where getting away and having a nice 'adult' conversation without having to chase kids around is wonderful.

I'm grateful for this time of year so that I can take a moment to look at everything I am thankful for and what it all means to me.

I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving.
